Default SPUDDEER somtimes

I have a 2000 accord ex (i think). 6 speed manual. 4cyl
the engine sometimes spudders for a second or 2 and then runs fine. no lights ever some on and the shop i go to has told me that they cannot find anything wrong. its done this for about 5 years.

Does anyone else have this problem or had this problem?

if you've never done it before and aren't really mechanically inclined I would call around and have a shop do it...should take about two hours and cost about $200-$250

you can use yelp.com to help find you a quality mechanic

I'm not guaranteeing this is going to fix your issue, this is just what normally is the cause.

You should make sure your cap, rotor, plugs, and wires are all up to date first. This could even be an old oxygen sensor being the issue. You can try checking for stored engine codes first just to be sure no codes are stored which could point you to the exact issue.

When does it sputter? Is it always at the same RPM, is so what is the RPM?
Does it only do it when cold/hot? Can you narrow down when it occurs or only that it does occur?

it happens around 2000ish RPMs while excelerating and only when excelerating, if i am on the interstate with cruise set it never happens. i dont think it has a weather preferance hot, cold, rain, snow, does not matter,

i do know that almost nothing on this car has been fixed or replace as no lights have ever come on. the wear and tear items have been replaced here and there, spark plugs, filters, ect. never an O2 sensor though.
