works great for me. oh, saw a couple of your runs yesterday, looks like you were running waaay to deep into a couple of corners. you gotta try to be a little smoother, especially on street tires.

Ground-Controls with custom rates and Koni sleeves mounted on Koni Sports (Yellows).
This is the set-up I've had my eyes on for the past year, and I'm finally purchasing it. I will be running 400F/600R rates and I plan on having them revalved eventually to handle those rates.

Its just my opinion but I do not like konis. Too expensive, need rebuilds on relatively low spring rates, expensive to rebuild, only rebound adjustable. Please dont flame for this! Granted you can buy GC and konis for a lot less than a "true" threaded body coilover. I think that the benifits far out weight cost.
I have the Apexi N1 dampers. I have swapped out the springs that came with them though. JDM seems to think that high front rates and low rear rates are "performance" for a front wheel drive car. You should specify your own rates when you decide what brand you want. The 400f/600r is a very good setup, I can attest!
Some other brands: Apexi, Tein, Cusco, and Zeal this is all I can think of right now.
I prefer the coilovers that have a spring perch adjustment and a body length adjustment. You can adjust height independently of spring preload.
Check out http://apexi-usa.com
The only problem with these is now they are another 1000+ from what I paid for them, sux. I love them. They just cost too much now.

Thanks...I like hearing what actual users think.
I'm leaning towards these http://www.advance-design.com/
Anyone hear bad/good things about them??

advance designs are excellent, and cheap too!! that is what I'll be running on my STS prepped 94 Integra...good thing about those is that GC sells rebuild kits so you can rebuild them yourself....less downtime
and there is no question as to whether or not they can handle the rates you want, b/c you tell them the rates you plan on running, and they custom build your shock for ya!! well worth the $400 a shock

I just installed a set of the TODA Racing FIGHTEX coilovers and they are fantastic. Build quality is absolutely superb and the handling characteristics and balance of the car is incredible.
First autox on them will be 11/17.

Search is your friend. We've been over this I don't know how many times on this forum and the ITR forum, although this forum provides a little less bias either way.
GC/koni has its advantages as does the (good) JDM coilovers. I went with a set of quality JDM coilovers with custom rates, but some prefer the Konis, although that direction really isn't any cheaper once you figure in the cost of revalving/shortening.
Oh, and the top two (1-2 finishing positions) ITRs at the 2002 Solo II nats. were on JDM coilovers. Ask me how I know

What rates did you get with those? Did you specify your own rates or is that what they come with? Are the dampers adjustable? Double or single?
Just wondering

1st place car had my old Zeal B6 coilovers and I have BuddyClubs.

~Jonna, who wants a set of inverted, double adjustable, shortened Koni's.
OT: Hey Todd, is your avatar the picture I took at the auto-cross?
mojo--that raises a question I've had for awhile....has anyone made a custom koni coil-over using one of koni's race shock models for a honda? and what would something like that run? me thinks if it'd be cheaper than getting a set of advance designs I'll do it....inverted is THE way to go if you can
I'll let you know when I get home. I have an HRP catalog at home that has some applications for Hondas. I think they were Moton or similar units.
I just picked up a new True Choice catalog and they carry race Konis. I'll see if they have any kits available utilizing a real race style shock.
As far as modifying a full out race shock to fit on a Honda if it didn't come in some kind of kit, I can't help you there.

I went with 10k/8k front/rear for the spring rates - I could have specified any rate I wanted, but I chose this set up. The dampers are 12 stage, single adjustable.
