My e-brake light in the dash has been coming on for 5 to 30 seconds every now and then. Mostly first thing in the morning but it does do it now and then in the afternoon as well. Is this a moisture thing, or can there be something more seriously wrong? I've checked the brake fluid and it seems to be right on the full line.

 

I have a 97 and mine has done this for years on cold days. I looked for a solution as well but found nothing.

I just assumed that it was a Grimlin.

 

Check the switch under the handle.

 

Also the cap on the brake fluid reservoir has a float switch. Assuming the fluid level is correct, remove the connector when you're having the problem and see if the brake light goes off.
