First, many thanks to all you guys for helping me replace the expansion valve and drier on my 2001 and 1999 Accords. Both ACs are working great now. But my 2001 blows air only through the bottom and not upper vents. I noticed that the damper door on my 1999 was rigid and all the way to the heater core side and would slowly move in the opposite direction as I turned the heater **** to HI. But my 2001 damper door is very loose and is flapping in any direction with the slightest push from my finger. Yesterday, I heard a thud (probably from the damper hitting the opposite side) and immediately hot air came rushing through. I need to work on this. But now my evaporator is in place. Is there a way to work on the damper from the front control panel side without disconnecting the evaporator again? Any help would be much appreciated.
