Default I got my HID Kit!

HI guys, i am new to the forum. I am finally getting around to pimping up my Honda CR-V (2007). The first thing crossed off my list is my HID Kit. I got it this morning and installed it straight away. Took less than 30 mins and they look amazing.

I chose Ice Blue (this one ) over my first choice which was the golden color. I am so glad I got ice blue - it goes so much better with black.

I am going to take a photo tonight and post it. Are y'all happy with your HID Kits?
Time for one of these now

No I can't stand when people are ignorant with the cheap HID's blinding on coming traffic. They are dangerous and illegal!!!

I use the 5000K HIDs on my Baja Buggy. But I wouldn't use the blue ones on anything. The glare that blinds oncoming traffic can be adjusted so it doesn't do that. It's because people use the stock angle on brighter lights. Same reason people with lifted trucks blind people. Your lights need to be adjusted.

Um no. You can't adjust out the glare from blue lights. Blue refracts more, which will cause glare no matter how they are aimed. The "higher" color temps also reduce night vision, making it much harder to see beyond the lights.

Maybe, but they sure aren't functional.

I'm happy with my kit but I have true HID projectors, not halogen projectors.

Well, aside from the color stuff you brought up. I meant the angle. They way the light reflects is different because the housing wasn't designed for HIDs. But I will agree, the higher temps do decrease vision. The 8-12K all get progressively worse, and after that they are useless. I believe 5K is the best for vision. I retrofitted HID projectors in some rally lights. Haven't really gotten to use them due to engine problems. But the 4 lights can light up the football field across the way.

HID's and projectors are alot like a magnifing glass on a ant pile on a sunny day. The magnifying glass focuses the light allowing the light to be focused enough to burn ant's but at the wrong distance is harmless and wont do a thing except **** people off.

HID's and a HID projector focuses the light like it should to give great illumination

HID's and a halogen projector scatters the light rather than focusing like it needs. And adjusting the light down towards the ground defeats the purpose!

It's been foggy the past 2 nights here in San Diego. The fog really exposes all the cars on the road that have crappy HID installations.
