my stock OEM jack worked fine, but i thought it would work even better if i lubed it up since i've never done that before, so i read a couple different posts doing a google search and a couple people said to use silicone lubricant, so i used a spray silicone lube i had on the threads and all the parts of the jack, but next time i used it, it seemed almost like it was stuck and i had to really force it to make it turn,
so my question is, what can i do to get the jack to work properly again ???,
like some type of lube to put on it ?, or should i use some type of degreaser or something to get the coating of the silicone lube off of it first?,
any input would be cool, thanks

just blob a little bit of grease on the threads and rotate it up and down get it till it moves free probably just a bit of corrosion on the threads where it needs to rotate
This^
The only purpose of silicone spray on metal is to protect it from rusting. Use some wheel bearing grease or something like that if you want to lube it.
