I have a b18b, and when I insert the 3rd gears, it like if I was in neutral. If i push more my shifter it grinch. What should I look for? syncronizer or fork?

is this picture above actual one?
sleeve is in very bad condition from one side probably this is 3rd gear side
4rh gear side is in good working condition
you need to replace it with new synchros and new rings

hardened with carbon synchros would be better
but oem will work fine
i have second gear problem and i am going to disassemble gearbox tommorow
symptoms are same and i will order oem second gear sleeve and all stock synchro set

The sleeve and synchro are absolutely trashed. Synchro spring isn't pictured, is it missing or just removed after the transmission was taken apart? What does 3rd gear itself look like? I'm guess it's probably junk too.
Having used both, I'm partial to carbon synchros.

I removed the spring, the gears look fine. I will take a screenshot.
Just as a heads up the one you buy may look just as bad. I've had a few guys bring me transmissions they bought that were supposed to work fine, no grinds only to find out they needed as much or more than the transmission they were replacing.
The newest ones are almost 13 years old now. It's not really the age or mileage so much as how they were driven though and how often the fluid was changed.
I've dealt with Synchrotech before, not for a complete transmission, but I have purchased parts from them, they're good to deal with. $1000 is pretty reasonable for what you get. A nice clean transmission that's basically new inside, with a warranty and a company that will stand behind it.
