i have wreaked 97 civic sedan. can someone give me this measurement.
Under the hood looking at the strut threads sticking up from the wheel well. Measure from the left strut threads to the right strut threads, center to center.
let me know if you had to lay the tape measure over top the air intake or not. that way i can compare it to mine the same way. the reason is i was hit and think it may have bent the entire shock tower inward and need to know what to bend it out to.

On my 97 sedan I fed the tape measure under the throttle cable and over the stock air intake and measured 35 5/8ths inches center to center....

 

if you've bent into the shock tower area....good luck bending it back and it actually being safe/straight and not messing with alignment. pics ?

i took the top of the stock aircleaner off and measured mine at 35 3/4. so this would indicate that it is not bent inward so my suspension must be f 'd.

what if getting hit low in the tire / door hinges caused the shock tower to move outward!!!!!. is this possible?
can somebody else measure? i had no throttle cable in the way as noted above.
measure from strut thread left to right center to center with stock air cleaner removed (top half).
