Default d16a6 manifold on y8 head (minime)

hello guys i have a question about my minime swap. i have a ek hatch with a y7 block, y8 head (im sure it is, its stampped P2J-3) and a y7 manifold.

yes a y7 manifold and i want to get rid of it and wire in vtec because the previous owners never did. so i got this d16a6 bare manifold i have laying around and was wondering if it would fit my y8 head and acually work. what would i need to get it to work.

It will physically bolt up to the head. There is a difference with a coolant port being a different shape but I've never heard anyone say it's a problem (right next to the #4 intake runner). I think the main thing here that may give you a problem is that the flange for the throttle body is different meaning you can't bolt on your existing throttle body (or any 92+ for that matter). The older style throttle bodies don't have a MAP sensor mounted on top, they use a firewall mounted map sensor. That's something you will need to keep in mind and address if you decide to use the A6 manifold.
