I just replaced my distributor and I had some issues getting it started for a while, but I got it started today! But it takes me a few times to crank it to get it started, it wants to start every time but it doesn't, and when its on it idles fine and drives fine but it wont let me rev past 3k, correct me if I'm wrong put I'm pretty sure my ignition timing is way off, because I was messing with the distributor a lot. Is my ignition timing off or is it something else? Help me out!

 

Check mechanical timing and verify you've not jumped a tooth/teeth. If that's correct, adjust ignition timing with a timing light to specs in service manual.
