Default Bumper repair Help?

Hey everyone, well im about to paint my car this week or so, but i was wondering how does one fix a bumper with paint chipping off? Do we just sand that part and smooth it out to the rest or do we sand it down all the way? Im confused as how i am supposed to do it. And if i just smooth it out will the new paint chip from there?

This is what im talking about..

i would sand like regular and spray flex primer and then sand again and then another layer of flex primer and then spray with the rest of the car as usual

pretty much this.

Is this gonna be a respray of the same color? pro job? maaco?

i'd really lightly (1200+ grit) do the rest of the bumper as well so the new paint will adhere to it.

Calling it flex primer is kind of a lie... The flex additive you put in the paint will keep it "flexable" till it fully cures. You are going to need a can of adheasion promotion to make a the paint chemicaly adhear to the raw plastic.

you need to sand all the chipped paint away with something around 220 gritt. then 320. then you should clean with wax and grease remover or prep solve. then apply an adhesion promoter like the bullydog spray can, works great! then after 2-5 min. apply 2-3 oats of a nice 2k primer. allow to dry. sand with 320 then 600. suff whole bumper with red suff pad or 600. wipe down with wax and grease and your ready to have it painted.
