f22b2 cam removal
you should really invest in a service/repair manual for a job like this. even the mediocre ones at the auto parts stores are better than asking all of it here.
but, to give you an idea here's most of it. assuming the engine is in the car and fully assembled... remove the valve cover by pulling the spark plug wires, PCV hose, ground wire, breather hose and 5 chrome nuts. remove the distributor and upper timing cover. set the engine to TDC to make things easier later. using a paint pen or white-out make an alignment mark on the cam pulley and timing belt to help at reassembly. remove the cam cap/rocker arm assembly to free the cam. be sure to leave the bolts in the assembly, they act as alignment pins. at this point you can tilt the cam up and out of the head in the direction of the timing belt. this way the timing belt can be slipped off of the cam pulley. then continue with removing the head.
if the head is already off, just focus on the bolded area above.
at reassembly you'll need to get the cam in time again, torque the rocker assembly down after applying a little grey RTV sealer at the corners, and check/adjust the valve lash.
this is the jist of it. I think you may see why it's a good idea to have that manual handy.
