sup ht i have a 89 civic hatch and just today i notice that my brake light dont come on i check the fuse in the interior fox box and there good so i looked under the hood fuse box and it has a 15 amp blown so i replace it so i thought that was it but i soon as i press on the brake pedal it pops i have tried 15,20,30 amp
and they just keep blowing need some help..

 

Must be a bad ground or open power somewhere. Check your bulbs and make sure there isn't a broken line just hitting the frame.

 

Bad bulb.Take all the brake light bulbs out then press the pedal see if the fuse blow, if it doesn't then change the light bulbs.

 

That's a good way to isolate the bulb vs the wiring. If it does blow with no bulb, your problem is probably harder to fix.

 

And stop overfusing it. Your damn lucky you didnt burn up any wiring by putting a higher rated fuse in there.
