Default Remove chipped ECU

So, the em1 I bought has a chipped ecu... it has basic bolt-ons so the ecu is not needed, it also has a VAFC Apexi unit installed... how difficult is it to remove this set up and reinstall a stock Ecu?

I'm having rough a rough idle and it looks like it might be the tune... so would I have less problems going back to stock ecu or would it just be easier to get it retuned?

the ECU just unplugs or you can just remove the chip but simpler just to swap in the correct ECU. get rid of that VAFC it's old tech

I'm sure some JDM importers would have them look around but there's usually someone selling one on CL or ebay

You should try to clean the iacv and look into it further as to why your getting a rough idle. When's the last FULL tune up this car had?

new distributor cap/rotor, MSD Ignition, new spark plugs... just recently. Full tune up about a year ago, but it has been sitting for about 5-6 months. Running a P28 ecu. I think a stock ecu and no VAFC will definitely help. I'm going to pull the IACV tomorrow to check it.

After been sitting for 6 months do you change your Fuel?

Before the storage the car has the problem?

so cleaned the IACV... no change, I'm thinking its the ECU... will the P2T ecu just plug and play or will it require tuning?

the correct OBD2 ECU will not require "tuning"
