It has come time to replace my clutch and i'm deciding what kit to use. When I had my DC2 I was very happy with the ACT Xtreme Duty Street Disc, but I was curious to see what other people did in the Si.

 

exedy oem or stage 1 unless you're making 200+wtq

 

Cannot beat OE, unless you're making some extra power.

 

I will be going with the Exedy Stage2 as I'm making a little more power then stock now... but Stage1 from Exedy is really nice. I had it on my B18C and it was perfect!

 

Use the weakest clutch you can get away with. You get no benefit from using a clutch that's grippier than you need. People on 8thCivic run superchargers on Exedy stage 1 clutches. If you don't have more than bolt-ons, you should be good with an Exedy OEM replacement.

 

I used the Exedy OEM clutch kit and paired it to a FD2 flywheel, going on 12k miles since clutch replacement and zero issues

 

exedy oem replacement or stage 1 and an fd2 flywheel gives good results!
