exhaust cone for street exhaust set up?

exhaust cone for street exhaust set up?
i use a toda 4-2-1 header that ends to 2.5'' collector and a full 3'' exhaust with 2 resonators.
since i'm using no transition on my exhaust i'm thinking to add an exhaust cone from 2.5'' to 3'' or to 4.5'' and a reverse cone like all motor drag cars
had anyone tried this ?
are you guys use transitions on your 3'' exhausts ?
how can a cone or a reverse cone set up affect power ?
