Default 91 Accord problems.

Hey guys I just picked up a CB7 today. It's awesome and I love it. I love it more than the 85 Accord hatch I had a couple months back (it got totaled. ) anyways. I was driving it along earlier and the check engine light came on and she's misfiring. I plan to replace the plugs because it has brand new wires. It has some other problems too. Burns oil ect. But my main concern is the misfire. My check engine light came on when I was driving and I pulled two codes. One I knew I'd pull which was for a broken speedo. Which I honestly don't know how to fix but whatever. But the other says it's the water temperature sensor. Could this lead to a misfire? Or at least build upon it? And how easy is it to fix?

VSS is mounted on top of the differential housing on the firewall side, on the intake manifold look at where the thermostat housing is located, look down below it you should see an electrical harness coming out of a triangular sensor, read more here > ... http://techauto.awardspace.com/vss.html

Thermo sensors are on the intake manifold on the thermostat housing, two more screwed into the head below the distributor, and one more on the water outlet facing the radiator. Green connectors. Check wiring for damage, check connectors for correct installation, check for wire corrosion, yadda yadda...
Check here > ... http://techauto.awardspace.com/overheating.html#sensor

If the car is misfiring and has over 150K miles then it may be that the EGR ports are plugged, early cars did not monitor flow, just EGR solenoid lift function. But if the ports are plugged the pre '96 cars will not know if there is a flow issue.

pull the plug wires off of the plugs and see if they are soaked with oil. if they are, replace the spark plug tube seals and o rings, and replace the plug wires.

i searched ENDLESSLY trying to figure out a misfire before, and the only answer i found is the egr ports. that wasn't the problem.

to confirm if it is egr port restriction, i believe you clamp off the vac hose going to the egr valve, then see if the misfire persists.

Yesterday we spent a lot of time working on her. We replaced the plugs cap and rotor. put on the short ram intake. cat delete (cat dropped and dragged) so we put a pipe on it and clamped it. Replaced the front torque motor mount (old one the top part fell out lol) and its still misfiring. The wires seem new but you can't go wrong replacing them so I'll be picking new ones up in the next couple days. Also my check engine light went off and comes back on every now and again. I'll check everything Mike said once I have some time this week and I'll let you guys know the progress. When I pulled the plugs they were black on the bottom and it seemed to have a small amount of oil in them. So I'll get new seals and o rings this week as well. Also idk if this will make a difference with anything I've said but it can't idle right and shuts off a lot. I adjusted the throttle cable (its really stretched as well) to get a higher idle to try and get her to not stall out but its still happening.

There's two wires coming to a blue connector on the passenger side above the kick panel by the glove box. use a paper clip to jump that and see what codes are in it, sounds like you're dealing with a different issue.
