Issue with cruise control pulsing??
I added cruise control into my 88 hatch using all oem parts, both junk yard and from my old 90 sedan. i wired it up using the wiring diagram from my helms manual, it DOES work, but is there a way to adjust it and or stabilize it?
I ask because it doesn't just hold the pedal steady, it pulses it, getting on the gas the getting off, which may not be an issue if i were stock, but being boosted it gets annoying since the speed up effects are more rapid.
again all parts are oem, but i have converted my car to an electronic vss from a 96-00 civic but i don't have any codes or issues with my speedometer, and i'm using the proper gear for my dif.

Had this problem with my wife's 90EX, I found the cable from the actuator to the throttle to be loose. Not too sure if it fixed the problem as I didn't use cruise much. It's a quick check so it's worth a shot.
I had a similar issue, though mine did not go to the gas pedal. I found the speedo bouncing too, so I greased up the cable and problem fixed. I'm guessing your VSS might be to blame.
i have a spare i can switch out, which i'll try, but the pulsing is mechanical, i can feel the gas pedal move, watch my car go in and out of vacuum on my boost gauge, and see my afr's changing as well.
