I have a 94 acura integra i bought really cheap it needed a head gasket . i did the head gasket job and when i first started it it reved up so high i thought it would blow and then it started the up and down idle . i did a propane enrichment test for vac leaks bur couldnt find any can yall help? maybe a vac diag or something im stuck
Put your hand over the bore of the throttle body and see if it dies almost instantly then vac leaks arent't your issue. Is there also
Proper slack on the throttle cable ?
Proper slack on the throttle cable ?
Any engine codes?
You can also try takin ur fits off and screw in the white piece all the way. Or you can try takin off the intake tube, with the car on ther should b two holes inside throttle body, top is iacv and bottom is fits. At cold idle there should b suction on both holes she u cover both holes it should bogg or die, cover bottom and if it idles normal ur fits needs replacing or adjusting, cover the iacv hole on cold start and if it idles normal then replace it. wait for it to fully warm up and cover just the top hole with ur finger, if ur idle doesn't change then ur iacv needs cleaning or replace it. Also if air is suckin in the bottom hole (it shouldn't b sucking in air when fully warmed up on the bottom hole) when it's already reached the normal temperature, then ur fits is the blame, screw the white piece all the way in.
