need help with 88 civic dx hatch

how do you replace the rear main oil seal? where is it located?

Right behind the flywheel, going around the crank.

You either have to pull the whole motor, or at least drop the trans...

just drop the trans and pop out the oil seal w/ a flathead.

yeah either way its a bit of work, if u have to pull the motor i would sugest droping a new(er) one, maybe its time for a zc or si motor?
