Default headlight problems

I took a headlight off a 98 civic at the junkyard. I took it apart to see if I could take the yellow markers out of it. Now the problem I am having is the sealant on the headlight. It's really hard to get off. Any body tell what I can use to get it off.

stick the headlight in the oven for a little while to heat up the sealant. the sealant will become soft and you will be able to pull the headlight assembly apart. just remember not to leave the headlight in the oven for too long. an alternative is to use a heat gun.

no I got the headlight apart. I want to know is the something I should use to get the sealant off the headlight. Should I just stick it in the oven again and peel it off?

Yeah, please post how this turned out. I am painting the housing and ran into the same problem when I had them taken apart. Thanks.
