I have a B17A swap as well , OBD1 ECU's don't require a resistor box.

If you are using the 93 GSR obd1 injectors, you dont need a resistor box.
You should replace the water pump too, and you'll need the obd0>obd1 jumer harness.
I am using the stock 91 civic si air intake assembly in my crvtec, works fine for now.
The wiring harness should be attached to the motor with all the plugs and stuff, an no you will not need the fuse box.

HCP. is real stiff. I my HASports. For header the RS*R is nice, Intake, 99-00 Si CAI will work or you can make your own. Even the intake you have now should work. I might have my stock header up for sale soon. If you interested

If someone doesnt think so see how many itr trannies are out there compared to how many 92-93 gsr trannies.
It took me about 5 months to find and aquire mine, 93 tranny that is.

from what I understand the GSR is the same as the YS-1 from the cable b16.
No, not quite! The 92-93 GSR tran has slightly shorter gears and shorter final drive.
B-Gears
Quoted from ff-squad about the 92-93 GSR tranny, "Same gearing as 92-01 hydro SiR/ITR/CTR but in cable form. Optional LSD."

There are a few of reasons to go with a newer ECU. First off, it will have the right fuel maps for the motor. A PR3/PW0 might be somewhat close. But remember that these ECUs are made for a 1.6 liter motor. Not a 1.7 liter motor. So the motor would run somewhat lean with a B16A ECU. Another reason is emissions legality. In California (and perhaps elsewhere), you MUST run the ECU that came with the motor to be legal. A B17A swap using a PR3/PW0 would not be legal and would likely not pass a referee. Finally, as someone lese mentioned, motors using 1992+ ECUs do run smoother. And you don;t have all those messy vacuum lines.

The 1992-1993 JDM XSi is a B16A. But the 1992-1993 USDM GSR is a B17A. This is one of the few instances where the US market was offered the better motor.

There were only 4000 (2500 92's 1500 93's) 92-93 GSR's made making them much rarer than a Type R. The B17 was also a limited production motor with much better build quality than other B-series motors.

My stock 150k mile 92 GSR with only a AEM intake for a mod ran a 14.9 1/4 on stock street tires. That was in a 2500 lb car so in a CRX it would fly.
