Hopefully you are at the point in which you are trying to break the tourqe. Get some PB spray and spray like a mo-******. If you have broken the tourqe, get a breaker bar and use it as some extra leverage to create more tourqe. Be careful you don't do what I did.

You might try removing the cat along w/ the rest of the exhaust, then get that bolt off while it's out from under the car. The two spring bolts on the front of the header aren't that hard to get off, I did it underneath my car w/ only one jackstand, working in the dark.
I had the same problem. I ended up taking of the whole exhaust from the header back, got a 24 inch breaker bar, and tried that. It broke my craftsman socket.
Took it to Sears and they replaced it.
After that, I found a 3 foot pipe, put it over the breaker bar, and it worked like a champ. That was only the first time, ever since then it's been 99% easier to take off. Hope this helps!

You have to take off the cat with the pipe. Then take the bolt off it is so much easier and you can get some wd40 or liquid wrench to help loosen it some before you try to rip it off.

thanks for the quick support guys!! got it off finally (without removing the cat).. just a matter of using the proper tool and removing the heat shield above it for more leverage...

sorry for the late reply since you got the bolt off already.. I was working on my car myself at the time you posted so wasn't at the comp to offer advice.. .
anyway on the bottom 2 bolts I used a socket and breaker bar and on the top bolt I couldn't fit my 18" 1/2" drive breaker bar and socket (not enogh space/clearance) so I used a combination/open end wrench and slipped that on the bolt/nut.. then I connected another combination wrench to that for more leverage and it broke loose...
