Radio Problem
Newbie Here, so be patient...
I have a '98 Honda Accord LX 4cyl v-tec...
I went thru 'all' the FAQ's and nothing is listed for Radio problems, not even under the Electrical Section...
First, are there any other circuits in the 20amp Radio circuit that could be causing the fuse to blow...I'm thinking if there were, then those circuits would also be causing a 'visible' problem too, but I don't see them.
Secondly, it 'appears' that the fuse is blowing only when I turn it on or off, don't know exactly, but 'on' would be the probable one.
I only use the radio typically about 30mins or less/day to/from work.
Third, is there a link I can go to that would show the Radio circuit?
Fourth, I saw a lot of questions about Radio Codes...what's that and when would I see them come up?
Hope i've set this up properly and that someone can give some guidance!
thanks

Factory or aftermarket radio in the car?
What is plugged into the accessory socket? Did a coin fall into it, yes it has happened before.
Codes, the factory radio has a anti-theft feature. Meaning when power is disconnected from the radio - pull the battery cables off or something like that. When power is restored to the radio, you have to enter a five (?) digit code before the radio will work again.

Thanks for the reply...
the radio is factory...
no coins in accessory as it is covered...
I've had the battery cables off several times but no code was required or even asked for...
I've had the car (used) since '05 and this is first for radio problem.
I'll have to install another fuse and leave radio on to see if something in radio is drawing too much current (power supply?) or if there's something in the
aux. conn's or whatever, or trace back from relay. Can't explain it, as while radio is on, no problem, so guess it's drawing too much current when first turned on.
thanks for diagram.
