the cable on the inside of the car as broken so now i cant get the hood open. it is the actual cable that is broken not just the hood release inside the car. are there any workarounds to get the latch unhooked? thanks. by the way it is a 93 hatch.

if u want to do some work. you can try to go under your car. if u can see the cable, try to tug on it lightly, and if doesnt pop. tug on it with more. thats what i do to my friends car if we cant pop his hood with the pop release. hope this is useful

 

thank you for your suggestion but the cable runs along the top, i can get my hand, from underneath the car to the general area of the hood latch but the radiator is in the way - i don't think i can take the radiator out without opening the hood.

 

Hey bro pull the handle out of the way and then just grab the end of the cable and tug on it to open your hood.

My girl's 1992 Civic has been like this for months now.

 

hey - mine was like that for months too - then it just up and died in a big way - it' a good trick until the whole thing gives.

 

yea...tug the cable for the latch with just enough strength to have the latch pop the hood...just make sure your latch isnt exposed cuz thats how my car got broken into,...popped my hood, then theives cut my battery, then you should know the rest...make sure that it isnt so visible either...just lookin out for you
