What the title says: A/C expansion valve torque specs for 1998 Honda Accord LX 4 cylinder. For some reason, my AllData subscription doesn't have a diagram for the evaporator overhaul that includes torque specs. Can anyone look these up in the factory service manual? There are three different fasteners involved; I need them all...

 

strangely my Helms doesn't give expansion valve torque specs but most of the others are between 16 and 23 so just go 23 and you'll be fine.

An update in case anyone else comes across this: it should be obvious, but don't torque every single fastener for the TXV valve to 23 ft-lb.... or you'll be sorry... the three different fasteners vary in size: 14 mm, 19 mm, and a larger one. These are the torque values I'll attempt:

* Larger one: Close to 23 ft-lb but not quite is probably appropriate for this one; the suction line to evaporator fastener is even bigger than this one and is specified for 23 ft-lb.
* 19 mm: The receiver line to evaporator fastener is also 19 mm, and specified to 9.4 ft-lb.
* 14 mm: Who knows? Maybe a little less than 9.4 ft-lb, but no less than 7.2 ft-lb, which is the spec for the 10 mm fasteners.
