A few weeks ago I purchased a Civic. The idea was to make it a cool track car and have all kinds of fun with it. That will get done, but I've always wanted to rustle the jimmies of hardparkers and MaD TyTe jDm Honda owners in general. (Not taking away from the legitimate rare part collectors for show and display purposes. You know who you are)

So, I present to you the EK4.

The idea of the build is to create as much rustle as possible during car shows, meets and other "hardparking" events. I want to have real parts and try to make them pass as fake, whenever possible.

I will update the thread once I have the wheels and intake box installed. I'm working on a set of Regas and an ARC intake box. I'm trying to pass the off as counterfeit. I'll let you guys see the pics once they're done. The ARC box will have the letters rearranged to read CRAP. I have other bits and pieces I'm going to throw in. Stay tuned.

I'm actually very confused by this post. You seem to know a lot about honders??? Or at least enough to know how to **** of Honder owners??? But not enough to know not to buy a Rhd vehicle without the knowledge to register it?

 

Not an obsession. It will become my hobby. The rustle projections are just speculations. People might end up liking it, but that will make this project a failure.

I just got back from PA tonight. I just bought a '98 Civic DX. It will be the donor car for my LHD swap. Yes, I'm converting the EK4 to LHD.

ButtHurt Motorsports will be the name of my team. We have other cars in the works as well. There is talks of a FWD Evo 9 and a turbocharged V6 Mustang Cobra. We're trying to convince a team mate to put a B16 in his FD RX-7.

I know just enough about Hondas to get me in trouble.

The car is just another grey market RHD Honda. It has a NYS title with the 10 digit Japanese VIN. I think the only legal Honda in the US was an Accord wagon some dude imported legitimately.

Isn't there a vin in your windshield? The previous probably sold it because he/she couldn't get it registered.

The ~93 JDM RHD Civic SiR-S doesn't have a VIN on the dash. Just a plate that says Honda of Japan or some such where you'd normally find the VIN. Might be the same with the EK.

OP I am encouraged to see you converting it to LHD. It's what I'd do with an RHD car in LHD-land.
