Hey guys I finally ordered a motor for my 89 from auto topic in Gainesville they said they had an 90 si that had 89xxx on it and sold me the motor it just arrived and its a d15b7? I thought the si's had the a6 until 91 and will this drop right in my 89?

 

B7 is from 92-95 DX/LX Civic. It's still usable but the big difference is the displacement and the camshaft. If you can get your money back I'd send it back. You paid for an A6 you should get an A6.

 

and obd1, they should give you an a6 or your money back. If you use that engine you will have money into mounts and wiring when you wouldn't with the a6, not to mention the a6 is a better motor IMO.
