Default 1990 Accord Heater Core

With the weather getting cold it's time to use the heater for the first time on my Accord and it looks like I've discovered another issue. When I turn the heat on, I get this thick, wet vapor coming out of all of the vents that immediately fogs the windows and smells like antifreeze. I believe it is the heater core falling apart and that would also explain my coolant leak (unless the head gasket is also bad).

I nabbed a copy of the FSM and know that the entire dash assembly has to come out and I am going to order the core from Advance:http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...15021|L3*15934

Is there anything I should be aware of before tackling this project and is there anything else I should check or replace while I have the interior apart? Thanks!

I have the same issue and I have the heater core and have just been putting this off. If I manage to get around to doing this in the morning I will update.

Please do! I verified that the heater core is bad by pressure testing the cooling system this morning.

I am going to try and take pictures as I go this weekend to put together a write-up.
