Automatic to Manual Transmission Swap
Hey, so i honestly dont know much on what to search for specifically. But would getting a complete h22a swap be enough to convert auto to stick if i were to get it serviced by a friend? But also on top of that i'll need to buy the shifter and clutch pedal. What else would i need in order for me to get it converted? Is it worth it? i ahve a 1996 accord and its hella clean, really cant find anything cleaner.
no, i wanted to get an h22a manual transmission complete swap. I know i'd have to make a new whole and some additional things to get the clutch in, but if i get a complete h22a manual transmission swap, would that have 99% to convert auto to manual?

I haven't done this swap yet but I am planning on it myself. The only things you need to get besides the complete transmission is the Transmission Mount Bracket for the manual, and the manual Transmission mount. You will need to weld the bracket on if I remember correctly. Also you will need the driver axle and intermediate shaft from your specific year accord but from the 5 speed version. I hope this helped some. Good luck on the swap! PS I didn't understand the swap when I first read through it. I just got into auto school and now it isn't a different language to me. Just do your homework first and try to get an understanding of all that mechanic talk.

If you're getting a complete swap with the axles, shift cables, etc then yes you'll have a fair bit of what you need and there's not a lot of additional work to the swap.
you have to switch out the pedals, add the clutch master cylinder and clutch line, do some re-wiring where your auto shifter is, do a lil cutting for the cables(I think), have a manual engine harness, manual ECU. all the mounts, axles, shift box and linkage.
You absolutely do NOT need any sort of harness or mounts, you need JUST the manual transmission side mount. Two wires into the engine bay for the reverse switch. Done.
Some sellers don't include the same things when they say "complete" swap. Just take what is included in your "complete" swap and check it off the list. Even then some things that are included with your swap are better off replaced since they are used and the motor is out of the car making it easier to access things and also because most dismantlers don't take as much care removing the motor as you would.
