Default 1157 led tail lights..help

I bought some Jtech red leds for the tails here:
Jtech 2x 1157 BAY15D 7.5W High PowerLED Red Signal Light Bulb : Amazon.com : Automotive Jtech 2x 1157 BAY15D 7.5W High PowerLED Red Signal Light Bulb : Amazon.com : Automotive

They said they have 2 light intensity but I'm getting brake only and no running light. I tried flipping and kinda shoving it in and I get light but no change in intensity with brakes. Maybe because it's not fully seated because of the pins flipped?

Is it the wiring in the car or the lights fault? Anybody have experience with this in our gen of cars? If so what lights have worked for running and brake?

90 civic dx.

Thanks!

Take your OEM bulbs that were in there with you to walmart, find the exact same ones and try those. Or you can open up the inside portion of the tail lights and look at your wires.

figured it out. it was a regular incandescent bulb in the line causing the led's to only light up on brake. weird. with all 1157 led everything works fine.

Guess so. It doesn't really make sense to me. But it is plausible.
