ITR Valve Stem Question
I am getting a valve job done to my ITR cylinder head, installing bronze guides, skunk2 pro series valves, supertech springs. The machine shop doing the work says that the valve stem size differs .002" between intake and exhaust. I thought that they were supposed to be the same sizek? Is this just difference in tolerance?
He doesn't have a reamer for the larger size so he has to either order one or send it to another shop. Just wanted to get some feedback.

5.5mm stem really means: fits into a 5.5mm guide. Much like a 81mm piston is actually 80.95 with 0.05mm clearance, as an example.
Both IN and EX guide bores are 5.50mm (new) and the valve-stem-to-guide clearance is set by valve stem dia.
Honda B18C intake valve dia is 5.475 - 5.485 (new)
and exhaust, 5.450 - 5.460mm.
Here the exhaust stem is about 0.001" smaller, giving 1 thou more clearance.
