A cable near the alternator/ back of the engine got cut off and I don't know where it goes , I can splice it back together but I need to know where it goes . I can't post a picture but the 2 cables connecting to the wire harness are one black and one orange .

Why can't you post pictures?

Does the engine start and run? Any CEL codes thrown?

The distributor sensors have orange wires.

I'm on an iPhone and don't know how to put up pics lol . Well I had to take out the alternator cause I need a new one and before I took it out the car started but it would screech and smoke a bit from the alternator .

black and orange goes to the tandem valve, which is hooked up to what looks like a sort of choke plate in the dpfi plenum.

Wish I had this post like 2 weeks ago. I was wondering why my 'knock sensor' had 2 wires on my OBD0 B16 haha.

Yes. Tandem valve.
