Honda accord 2001 V6 I messed something up
Originally at (http://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicAdvi...1491_cel_code/) I had a code p1491 for the egr valve, so with the help on there, and research i decided that it was a clogged egr port/valve. I take out the engine air filter, throttle body, and the intake manifold to reveal the egr port. I clean that out and put it all together. Simple right?
NO! I screwed something up, i don't get a stable RPM anymore and when i push on the accelerator a bit it goes up and then jumps. I took a video and it's right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiPl2...ature=youtu.be
I'm freaking out, i'm scared stupid that i broke something expensive. I'm only 16 and it's the family car, really don't want my dad to get mad at me.

the video doesn't work...i'm guessing you created a vacuum leak, which would be the best case scenario...when you remove the intake manifold the gasket sometimes tears and you need to replace it which means you need to use a razor to remove all of the old material and use a new gasket or it will leak
work on getting that video to show up
work on getting that video to show up
Super weird, it was working 2 days ago perfectly, well i got it to work! It was the throttle body gasket, and 1: it wasnt seated properly, and 2: i didn't scrape off all of the old gasket (stupid i know), after i put it all back together i just torqued the screws and it worked!
