i have a Honda civic ex coupe 2003.
i hit a bump[large bump] and messed up my axle/rim and spring.

every time when i turn i heard this knocking sound and found out it was the spring[ the big thing that looks the same as a small spring from pens]. i jumps every time i turn the wheel. it sounds even more laud when the car is sitting still.

i have already fix the axle and it still happens,
i got a new rim and a new tire as well it still happens.

i bought a coil spring but i think i bought the wrong part
searching the auto zone site i found this item
Mount/Shock/Strut

so now im thinking i bought the wrong item and need the mount/shock/strut instead. will anyone help me on what item do i need also is it possible to return the other item[i haven't picked it up yet i order it 9/19/13 right before it close] i was told i needed a spring but it brings a whole unit with it so i think the the mount/shock/strut one but not really sure.

Ps: sorry for sounding like a novice. i know nothing about cars and learning as i go now[getting into them]

 

Have a reputable mechanic put it on a lift and inspect it.
