Hey guys, I've joined the site since acquiring my first 91 Accord. Since then I've come into the possession of another Accord of the same year and color, except this one is a 4 door compared to the 2 door I first purchased.

The 4 door does not run at this point. While it starts, there is some serious white smoke coming out the back, and I do not really wish to track down the problem as this was purchased for $300 as a parts car for my 2 door.

At this point, I am just wanting to swap out all the parts I can.

The 2 door has a big dent in the trunk lid where the previous owner backed into a pole or something. While it shuts and is 90% leak proof, I want to change out the trunk lids, as well as the steering wheel and front headlights.

Is there anyone who can tell me of the easiest way to go about swapping the trunks? I will tend to the other issues after this is taken care of.

Sorry if this was already discussed, but I could NOT find any help on the actual removal/replacement of the trunk lids.

I am not sure but I doubt if they are interchangeable. Measure them to be sure.

 

They are the exact same dimensions

 

Pretty sure the coupe/Sedan decklids are the same between the respective years of CB and CD Accords. Since you have both cars it would probably just be easier to unbolt the two decklids and verify if they do indeed fit. Four bolts and maybe some adjustment of the latch, wha-la.

 

Thanks for the replies guys, but I managed to get the trunk lids swapped after carefully removing the latch and all the wiring for the lights. Took about an hour.

Now onto swapping the headlights and steering wheel B)
