Default Is my engine high/low compression and tuned?

Hi. I have a b20b in my 99 si with a p75 10 head on it. Based on the b20 guide my head was cast in 02/99 so the compression should be 9.6:1 and have 146 HP, 133 Ft/lbs TQ. Now, I have no knowledge about compression but seeing as 9.6:1 is larger than 8.8:1, am I right in assuming I have high compression?

I want to go turbo soon and want to know if the compression will have a big impact in my setup and also whether or not you recommend I go with a v-tec head off a b18. I want a turbo setup and keep my a/c since I live in Florida. Would you guys recommend i get specific individual parts for a tubo set up or buy a kit like those on ebay? Any special brand to choose over generic kits? I am on somewhat of a budget but id take suggestions of kits over $1000.

Also im running a pr4 ecu which based on some research it belongs in a 94 integra. could my engine be tuned or does it not matter?
Ive also been told its bad for performance that I am missing my catalytic and im running a 4:2:1 exhaust. is that true?

another thing is that there are two points where my hood makes contact with engine once closed. could this be a hood issue or engine mounting issue.

Whew, thats alot of questions w/o any spaces..

If it was built in 99, then it should have a knock sensor near the oil filter. Not the oil pressure sensor..

9.6 is just fine to boost.
You can do a head swap if you like.

Generic kits have been proven to fail and also have inferior parts. Alot of people buy these kits and then have to replace all the cheap parts. So why pay for 2 kits? Just do it right in the first place.

Pick a power goal and then build towards it.
B20's dont like any detonation so making sure you get a proper tune is key!

If your on a budget, then boost is not for you. Trust me.
Youll be replacing alot of parts:

clutch
axles
mounts

Thanks. I guess it would better to avoid ebay for that. Now what do you think about my ECU. can I tell just by looking at it or opening it if it has been chipped.

Well, If you have to ask if its chipped, then Im going to say it isnt.

Most B20 swaps use the B18B P75 ECu which runs the B20 really lean.
People like to cheap out and run it like this.

Take a picture of the inside and lets take a look.

If your looking for a good kit w/o any issues, here ya go.

The reason I ask is because I have not done anything engine wise to the car since I bought it except extend intake for colder air. These are some pictures of the ECU.

it will help everyone if you stop saying "ebay" and say a specific manufacturer.
