Default Make RSX/EP/S2K cruise switch work after steering wheel swap in EK

If you have swapped out your steering wheel in your EK to an EP/RSX or S2000 wheel you will find that the cruise control switches are incompatible. Well, it doesn’t have to be this way. This guide will show you how to retrofit your Cruise switch to work with the EK wiring.
Take your cruise switch off and disassemble it. Take apart the EK one as well.
Here are the EK and RSX/EP/S2K switches side by side.
The EK switch only has 2 buttons. The other has 3 but the circuit functions exactly the same.

Here are the two circuit boards. The EK civic is on the left. The RSX/EP/S2K on the right

Get out a soldering iron and knife. You will need to cut the plastic nubs off the bottom of the connectors. These nubs line up the connectors and help anchor them to the circuit boards.
Once they are cut down, you can desolder the connectors. This process is the exact same for both circuit boards.
EK connector removed. You need to shave the numbs on this all the way down. I already did one side in this picture.

RSX/EP/S2K connector.

The EK civic connector has a different pitch for the termials. Pitch is the measurement of the distance between the pins on a component. As you can see here, the Civic connector (yellow) has a larger pitch.

Once the RSX/EP/S2K connector is removed you will take your EK yellow connector and bend the pins as show. I just removed the 4th pin as its not used by the EK wiring.

Solder in the connector. Make sure your orient your connector like this or it won’t work.

You may want to add some hot glue to it to make sure it doesn’t move around any. As you can see I only have 3 pins in this. I removed the 4th one.

Install this into your wheel, connect the wires and enjoy having your cruise back :D

Nice job. Also to those who are wondering, you can keep the S2k buttons by removing the wires and desoldering the plughead to make a sort of jumper harness to your EK like I did.
