RPM fluctuations
i have a 94 accord with a H22A engine swap and it was running fine for the first few months and now im having problems with my RPM's starting around 1500 and then dropping to 750 to 500 at first i thought it was the spark plugs so i got new ones and swapped them but its still happening so i cleaned the IACV hoping that would help does anyone have any suggestions

Hi h22vtec337 ,
please explain more detail, when you start engine with no load or load ? how long does rpm drop to 500 and keep there or up again ? I think it problem with your idle valve,
if you explain more, I hope you will have many support,

It controls the air bypassing the closed throttle body blades. It is simply a solenoid that is controlled by the ECU. If the ports or solenoid becomes gummed with soot the valve will either jam or the ports clogged with soot and not be able to correctly control the air bypass for idle speed control.
Have had this nickname for years.
More than likely the person you speak of is probably half my age at which point I was having fun putting my car into opposite lock while he was still shitting his pants.
