Ok guys, I'm here for some advice from you honda gurus. About 4 months ago my bolt stripped out to my crankshaft... Rethreaded and it last for about a month and a half. Now I'm to the point where I'll just replace the crank...250$ new but people keep tellin me for like an extra 100-150$ I can get another motor for parts or even replace the one I have now(235,xxx miles). My question is which shall I do or even which motor hour I grab... I'm not trying to be all out import or fancy. Just want to get it back running to my daily driver. Not trying to spend too much. Thanks for your time and all advice welcomed.
I just spent a bunch of money on my f22a and it was not worth it. I finally put an f22b motor in the car. You can find them for about 500.00$. I have a oil pump and crank for the f22a it is the first undersize if that is what you decide. If you do the motor swap make sure that motor is complete intake and exhaust. You use all the mounts off your old motor they bolt up. The a/c bracket bolts up. The alt and power steering bracket have to be ground for clearance. You need to lengthen to sensor wires and make a throttle cable bracket. If you have some mechanical back round it should take about a weekend. I would consider putting new radiator in car autozone has the best price. All the hoses work along with the intake piping. .
