My DA for a 2g Eclipse need some help.
I recently posted my 92 DA on craigs. Ive been offerd a cherry of an offer, to trade my DA for a 97 Eclipse. Ive never owned an Eclipse nor looked into them before. Im looking for some advice from some one who A. has owned one B. Worked on them or C knows some one with one. I just want something i can drive around with and enjoy. Im have kids and the DA isnt really a "Daddy" car nor is the eclipse, how ever i will not be classed as the older guy with the kids car (no offense).

The NA part really does not concern me i have a car for the "go fast" aspect of driving. The DA is my daily to work wally world grab a quick bit to eat and drive around town. I wasnt aware of the salvage title, and ive only heard bad things about them. Ive come across threads that stated the 2g RS was a ok car "not a toyota" by any means. Again speed isnt a factor with this transaction reliability is my concern.
Thank you,
Thank you,
if you want a car that's fun to drive why not just keep the DA? it's not like the eclipse is that much of an upgrade unless you're in it for the looks.
i always heard with eclipses unless it's a GSX or GST don't even bother.

Its looks that are tempting me to do the trade. I like the DA its a rather fun car to drive, and so do the police. Im always being trailed by them and pulled over to have them pop my hood. Ive been lucky enough that they do not check the engine stamp "b20b". Im a little more mad at the BS that comes with owning a honda then the car its self. Ive heard it the other way around. The GSX and GST are more prone to failure then the RS. The down falls of the RS are weak head gaskets and timing belts. Also the tranny is rather blahh. The DA to me is starting to show its age, there are times when the light is right lol that i love it! While the eclipse is a breath of fresh air, something new and, ive been toying with hondas for the last ten years the last 5 of which i have been less into "fixing them up and more into upkeeping them.
