Engine knock in 1995 Honda Acc EX

Engine knock in 1995 Honda Acc EX
Greetings,
Just bought a 1995 Honda Accord EX with 174K on it. Changing out the tcm (like I did on my 93 due to D4 blinking and self shifting - fine after that for the past 6 years!) but there seems to be a knocking noise dead center when I'm looking at the VTEC engine and spark plug area. I only need her to last a couple of years, but being the Honda lover I am my desire is not to run her into the ground but fix her and get a whole lot more miles out of her. Any suggestions? .....that may not possibly cost as arm and a leg? (otherwise, of course, I would have gotten a younger Honda
