Simple wiring question
My son just bought a 1997 Accord LX. Radiator fans and AC not working. Through much trial and error I discovered that the radiator fan timer control located behind glove box was not plugged into its wiring harness. The radiator fans now work - yeah!! Someone must have unplugged them when perhaps replacing the 4-speed fan control module and forgot to reconnect??.
My question though, another 2-pin connector is hanging loose from the same wiring harness and I cannot see anywhere behind the glove box where it might get plugged in. The connector is blue and has a red and a green wire attached to it. Does anyone know where this get's plugged in and what its purpose is? Any chance it might be related to why the AC does not work?
P.S. Compressor fired right up when I jumped the relay.

The blue connector is the Service Check Connector (SCS). You can use it to retrieve Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) by using a wire or small paper clip to jump the connector and counting blinks of the Check Engine Light and/or D4 indicator light for automatic transmission.
The 1997 has both the OBD-II port (behind the ashtray) and this separate SCS connector.
