B16a2 fuel pump isn't priming HeLp!
Ok so lil crusty has been renamed to jinxy... got her back and was driving home. Ground wire caught fire...prior to that I noticed someone tried to steal it and fucked up the ignition. So I punched it and was on my way. Got a quarter mile and lost power cuz my battery ground was a **** hack job. Ignition then wouldn't turn back. Today I rewired the battery cables properly and my fuel pump isn't priming. Not sure where the relay is but with the ignition back part off my stupid cousin touched a wire to some of the contacts and at one point I think I heard it prime. Then he touched another contact when I wasn't looking n it blew a 20amp fuse under the hood. I replaced it and that's when I didn't hear it prime. Everything else comes on just no prime ...any clues anyone ? I have a chipped p28 ecu if that's any help.
Like all Honda/Acura the rad fan is controlled by the ECT switch, [right rear of engine, green and black two wire plug].
First, make sure ECT switch is plugged in. if so, unplug it and jump the green and black to take the switch out of the circuit.
If fan works, replace the switch.
If fan does not work, check the relay, unplug it and test the socket for powers, there should be one 12V+ constant, [hot at all times] and one 12V+ switched, [hot with ign. switch on].
If he relay socket is the type with two "big" terminals and two, [or three, middle one not used] smaller terminals, jump the two bigger terminals.
If the relay socket is the type with four terminals of the same size, jump from the terminal with 12V+ constant power, [hot at all times] to the one kitty-corner from it.
If the rad fan works, try another relay, if still not working, check continuity of the green lead from the ECT switch to the relay socket.
That will be the pin that is kitty corner from the pin that is 12V+ switched, [hot with ign. switch on] if a 4 pin all the same size, or the small pin that is not a 12V+ switched power on the socket that has two big pins and two small pins. 94
