Default Alarm problem w/ Honda Civic 2002

The alarm on my 2002 Civic will go off when you open a door/the trunk. Keeping the Civic unlocked, it will still set off the alarm when you open a door.

Should I try disabling the alarm system permanently or go and have it fixed by a mechanic?

I don't know if I can fix this myself or what caused it.

Any ideas/suggestions are appreciated.

OEM dealer accessory alarm I guess.

The alarm itself has never been altered so it's definitely not an aftermarket alarm.

Try unplugging the box from the main car harness. I believe there was a reset procedure if you have the instructions. Had to take my steering column out to get my ignition repaired, mine stopped working, so I left mine unplugged.
