the bolt hole castings on my throttle body for my throttle cable bracket got broken today and I've been trying to find a quick solution to be able to have car running for work Monday. I keep seeing people say use the type r bracket but that will be a couple days from the dealer, I have a s2 IM which has bracket holes for the other type of cable bracket and I can't seem to find out if a. The ls bracket will work even if I have to modify it and b. Will a ls cable work with just changing out the pulley and adding bracket. Thanks for any and all help in advance

 

What manifold is currently on the car 2nd with an ls tb all you'll need is the braket and cable and you're set a gsr cable will nit work.

 

My car is a 01 gsr with a skunk 2 IM. Can I still use gsr tb and just swap the pulley and cable or do I need the whole tb

 

pulley, cable and bracket are needed you can use which ever TB you like.

So I now know why the other forums say you need type r bracket. Because the ls bracket is in way of sensor
