Project GS-ARRR - 94 GSR Build
What's up guys. Thought I would just introduce the new project. The green 94 ej2 is out and this GSR is in! My lady and I decided to go in on a project together rather than trying to build two at once. It's not really going to be anything special.. just a very clean and very enjoyable car to drive. Most of the upgrades will be in suspension parts via new struts, springs, rear sway bar, subframe brace, LCAs, and strut bars. The motor will essentially just be gone over and brought back to a well running stock engine with basic boltons including a skunk2 intake, full exhaust, and a tune. I may go as far as installing new cams and valvetrain, but nothing extreme. As for the rest of the car, a color change and repaint is in order, as well as cleaning up and adding some tasteful custom touches in the interior and installing a small aftermarket stereo system.
Anyway, without too much of a lengthy post... here are some pics of what we are starting with. It will be a semi-slow build but one of quality! Stay tuned folks. I will be posting everything we do.

Here are a couple of goodies I have already purchased for the car. All of this stuff needs to go on before Fatman Invasion in Mentor on Oct. 6th! Learning the mechanical part of cars as I go... I am a body and fabrication guy by trade.

Got a momo steering wheel with the car, and couldn't find a horn button that I liked. On top of that I have heard some people have issues with the horn using quick releases. I know there are ways to fix it, but I'm not concerned... horn delete for the win! haha. If I decide I want to keep the horn I will just hide a button near the wheel somewhere. I will be posting pics of each step I took to make the delete the plate, but here ya go. (for offroad use only of course...)

(just a street seat... I don't have the coin to spend 1000 a piece, haha). As for the AC, meh... PA doesn't get hot enough to ever need AC. If I lived in a place like Arizona it would definitely be going back in though. Trending Topics
What's up guys! I actually have a couple of updates to the car since the last time I posted, just been very busy and haven't had a chance to post until now!
I finally got the NRG quick release in the car and I am very happy with it. I like the feel of the Momo wheel better than the stock one, though it does need to be recovered, and the quick release is a whole lot nicer to look at than the Momo hub that I had laying around. The delete plate does it's job for the horn button, but I will probably end up putting a separate horn button somewhere else so that I can still get people's attention around town. Sorry for the dirty interior, I hadn't had a chance to vacuum the car when this was taken.

Also got the hasport mounts installed! Well, two of the three anyway. I didn't install the rear one as the motor will be pulled to paint the engine bay in spring, so I am just going to do it then, but these things are great! The drive train is no longer shaking my hand when I let off of the gas, haha.

Lastly I also installed the B&M short throw and the new boot and shift ****. Combined with the motor mounts it felt like a brand new car. I love the feel of the new shift **** (thankfully considering what I spent for it). I still need to get one one of my bushings to take out some of the slop in the shifter assembly, but it feels a whole lot better than it did before. Don't worry about the B&M sticker on the center console by the way... it's just there for the fun of it until we redo the interior!

I know I know, nothing really exciting for you guys to look at. Rome wasn't built in a day! Anyway, other than some pics from fatman invasion, this is all I have for now!

Looking good so far. Very clean Teg and I like the custom seats too. The wheel is produced by Momo to Mugen specifications, thus why it has the Mugen logo. It's the same with the Spoon wheel.
Hey guys. I know I haven't really had any updates, but we were more focused on driving and enjoying the car at the end of the season than working in it. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the cold months to pass, cleaning the garage space I have been given to work on the car, and starting to tear things apart. Until then, not a whole lot has been going on, so I figured I would at least share a couple of the pics from the end of this season of the car in its current state. It'll never look like this again!
