2004 Civic LX Engine running rough following routine timing belt replacement...
Hi,
I own a 2004 Civic LX with 75,500miles. 4weeks ago, I had the timing belt & water pump and all other belts replaced due to age of car not mileage. It's typically recommended to get the timing belt service at 90,000miles on this car. The engine has been running a bit rough and there's a vibration that occurs when I reach 60-65mph that can be felt throughout the car. This didn't occur before the timing belt change. Also, yesterday, the maintenance light on the dash came on.... I pulled "P1298 ELD Voltage High" code and cleared it. The engine is still running a bit rough.
Could the balancer shaft be off by a couple teeth? Or engine mount over torqued? Maybe the ELD needs replacement? Maybe the timing belt wasn't installed properly?
Anything else that should be checked when I return to the dealership next week?
Thanks for your help!
