I'm looking for a quieter exhaust to replace my worn out greddy evo2. I have been looking at some universal mufflers (tsudo sp2, ws2, vibrant etc) and I was told to consider a oem RSX type s axle back. I would reuse my greddy piping an replace the axle back with the RSX axle back. Will this bolt up with little to no modification? I like the idea of oem "upgrading".
If you've ever seen a muffler cut in half you'll see that it's not straight threw as for piping OD it's something like 2.25 IIRC so maybe 2''ID ?. you should be able to but if just your muffler is shot may as well just get a universal 2.5'' can and weld it up take your pic from the many many out there lol. you can search sound clips on you tube and see it's kinda "meh" sound hollow/raspy

Didn't even think of YouTube lol. I searched and wasn't really impressed. I guess what I'm looking for is something to replace my muffler with that on the quiet side but reving and getting into it its noticeable but not raspy or obnoxious sounding. Wish I could get it to sound like a stock 350z/g35 type sound haha
people have bought DC5 type r mufflers and taken them to a muffler shop to get put on. DC5 type r muffler has a butterfly in it. so at idle, or low speed it's not so loud, but when you floor it, the butterfly is forced open. making it louder and making it flow better.
