Ok, I have an 1998 Honda Civic DX. About two months ago my exhaust fell of at the flange where the spring bolts are by the manifold. So I pulled my exhaust off and then the car sat for about 2 months.

Last night I went to start it so I could take it and my new exhaust over to the muffler shop. The battery really was dead so tried jumping the civic, it cranked and cranked but wouldn't start.

I tried locking and unlocking the car a few times because I was worried it had something to do with the gofey viper alarm but after trying that the car still would not start.

I let the battery charge up over night and this moring all the lights came on and it cranked over but would not start still.

So should I be checking for fuel and spark now or could there be something with the alarm or the fact that it has no exhaust on right now causing me trouble?

 

fuel/spark/comp/timing is ALL a engine needs to start (provided in correct order)
